Day 3: Goosberry Trail Climb

After lunch Henry and Mike G decided to climb the Goosberry Trail up to the top of the rim. Steve C and Steve G had continued on past White Crack. (Little did we realize how far past they'd gone.) Mike P and Terry switched up on sag wagon duties and decided to head for our day 3 camp near Airport Tower.

Henry is just visible in this picture about halfway up near the middle, just to the left of a large boulder. The trail started right down on the white rim and then followed a sandy wash up towards the rim. All sorts of interesting rocks lay strewn along both sides, the product of eons of flash floods and wind erosion. Similar to the top of Upheaval Dome, we encountered more and bigger trees as we ascended.
