Day 1: Inside A Cave As I was jogging down the canyon I noticed a trail branching off to the left. I followed it for a couple hundred feet and noticed what looked like a cave entrance at the bottom of a huge rock wall. The spot was pretty shady and there was a stream trickling down from the base of the wall. The protection and extra moisture gave rise to some trees and even broad leaf grasses and lilies. I scrambled up the loose slope and poked my nose inside the shady overhang. In the end, that's all it was--a shallow overhang that may someday erode into an arch. There were rocks and moss but no obvious artifacts or petroglyphs. Looked like the kind of place you might find some cools things, but at least in my rushed state I didn't see anything "cool" beyond the place itself. Maybe that was the best part of the deal in any case.
