We decided to take the primitive trail loop option and it was great. This shot shows the guys heading off towards the upper part of Fin Canyon. Rock fins everywhere. Future arches await.

In this case the "primitive trail" actually got pretty primitive in spots. We came across fellow hikers stuck trying to get down a couple pretty steep rock faces. In one spot the park service leaned a big dead tree up the face and hikers used this to get a hand down. The second tight spot was navigable by only narrow lip of rock, but the exposure was only about six feet so the consequences of a slip, while bad, weren't "pass fail" on the test of life. All of that to say, wear good shoes, bring water and be prepared to stretch your comfort level a bit. The hike out was not technical, just sandy and hot (but well worth the views).
